Company History

Chris Pham established CyberShop in April 1999.

With a Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical and Electronics (1995) and a Bachelor of Commerce – Management (1995) from UWA to his credit, Chris worked with BHP Engineering as a project engineer until 1999.

His experience has led Chris to develop an aptitude for planning and management, working well with clients and providing superior customer service. A consultative approach to sales, understanding the importance of quality, and striving for continuous improvement are important values to Chris.

Chris left engineering to pursue his passion in computers and technology and so CyberShop was born. What started as a home business has grown considerably over the years.

The company’s turnover doubled every year from 1999 to 2002, and over the past three years we have grown 30 to 50 per cent. Chris has now set up a strategic plan for the business to double turnover every year for the next three years.

In December 2005, the company rebranded to CYBERSHOP and opened up a state of the art showroom in Northbridge. No cost was spared to ensure that the people of Perth have a world class showroom to test and sample the latest in Portable Computing and Electronics.

At CyberShop we have a team of dedicated professionals who possess extensive training and experience in computer systems and are highly knowledgeable about our products.

Leading the Market

CyberShop is the leader in notebook retail sales.  We are one of the largest independent notebook resellers in WA and Australia. We are also one of the few companies that can repair most notebook brands.

In terms of turnover we are the biggest Leading Edge Computer Store in Australia. The Leading Edge Group is the largest buying group in the country and Leading Edge Computers has more than 125 stores located around Australia.

Products and services

We supply most IT equipment, but our specialty is in notebooks and portable technology. We only supply quality brands that everyone know and trust. This ensures there is a reliable support infrastructure in place to service and repair customers’ goods.

Our after sales support is second to none – if a customer has a problem with their purchase, it becomes our problem. Our commitment is 100 per cent customer satisfaction throughout the lifetime of their purchase.

And our sales approach is relaxed and friendly, a benefit for customers who have to cope with understanding new technology and don’t need to be pressured into buying something they don't comprehend.

CyberShop is regarded with respect and has an excellent reputation within our industry. Vendors want to work with us because we always work towards a win-win-win solution for them, us and, most importantly, the end user of their products – the customer!

We have Partner Status with Toshiba, Acer, Samsung, Vodafone and HP, who trust us with their products and value our partnership.

Our professional competitors extend to us the same respect we afford them, and we see competition with them as a positive incentive to continually lift our game. It is not uncommon for our competitors to send us those customers whom they are unable to help.

Our consultative approach to our customers sets us apart from the rest. We listen to what they want and then ask them questions to determine what they really need. That way we can best find the correct solution for the customer.
